Company summary

The Royal Motor Yacht Club exists and operates within and as part of the New Yacht Club Limited, a company limited by guarantee. The Club and all its assets and resources are the property of the New Yacht Club Limited. Every voting Member (in the Memorandum and Articles or Association of the Company called Ordinary Members) accepts a liability of one pound (£1) on the dissolution or winding up of the New Yacht Club Limited. The Members of the Committee are all Directors of the New Yacht Club Limited.

The objects of the Club are to promote and facilitate the sports of motor boating and yachting and to provide a varied range of activities and other facilities for the members of the Club.

The Club, New Yacht Club Limited, the Committee and employees of the Club shall not be liable to any Member, guest of a Member or other party for any loss or damage, howsoever caused except where serious personal injury or death result from gross negligence.
